Responsibilities
SHIFT HOURS: Monday – Friday Midnight-8:30 a.m.
JOB SUMMARY: Repair and maintain a variety of production and building equipment, along with related work involved in maintaining the building.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental guidelines
- Follows all departmental SOPs
Completes scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery in a timely manner
Collaborates with production operators to diagnose and correct machine issues as needed
Diagnoses problems with equipment, and repairs/replaces defective parts
Assists with efforts to exceed divisional downtime standards and expectations
Assists the plant with afterhours repairs as needed
Fabricates as needed
- Able to work overtime as needed, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Other duties and/or projects as may be assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Basic math skills
- Good English language skills
- Welding skills
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Hands on mechanical experience with various types of manufacturing equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge (repairing, replacing, installing, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems on various types of manufacturing equipment
- Carpentry skills
- No fear of heights
- Basic manufacturing wiring experience
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk and communicate
- Ability to see and hear
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required to stretch and bend
- Frequently climb towers up to 45 feet high
- Regularly required to climb or balance
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel or crouch
- Strong motor skills
- Able to handle potential extreme conditions of heat, cold, wet, humid, and windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degree or greater)
