In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and multi-discipline teams to develop electrical system designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for a diverse range of buildings. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in various markets, including healthcare, commercial, education, and institutional projects.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their expertise. Your responsibilities may include:
Electrical Design & Engineering:
- Develop electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security systems, and telecommunications.
- Perform load calculations for generators, transformers, switchgear, panel boards, VFDs, feeders, and branch circuits.
- Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
- Research and implement industry standards and best practices.
- Assist with building condition assessments and system evaluations.
Collaboration & Project Support :
- Work closely with mechanical, civil, and structural engineers, as well as architects.
- Assist senior engineers in multi-discipline project coordination.
- Communicate with clients, manufacturers, and contractors to address project challenges and develop solutions.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute technical insights.
Technical Growth & Development:
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and emerging technologies.
- Receive mentorship from senior engineers and take on increasing project responsibilities.
- Support project management efforts and contribute to proposal development as needed.
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in electrical engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- EIT certification preferred; working towards or having PE licensure is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within an A/E consulting firm, or closely related industry.
- Experience with building system design. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
- Familiarity with electrical modeling programs (e.g., AGi32 for lighting, SKM for power analysis) is required.
- Understanding of national, state, and local electrical codes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 per year
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
