Job Summary
Would you like to apply your skills in an innovative production facility? If so, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Grinder! This position will be based out of our Extrusion plant located in Kingman, AZ. Reporting to Shift Supervisor, the successful candidate will operate grinding system as well as other systems as required.
Position Offers
- Pay: $19.90 per hour

Job Responsibilities
- Will be primarily operating Grinding system 1, and 2 as well as going on other systems as required
- Able to convey material to and from the grinding and pulverizing equipment to maintain efficient operation of the equipment.
- Clearly identify the various products the plant uses in its manufacturing process so that she/he may be able to segregate the scrap by types that is to be ground or pulverized.
- Report in writing the type and quantity of material being ground to clearly identify by the appropriate system the material that has been either ground or pulverized.
- Achieve the predetermined rates established for grinding and pulverizing, as per grinding protocols and expectations
- It is understood that other functions may be assigned by the Shift Supervisor as deemed necessary that fall outside the scope of this list.
- Demonstrated competence on various grinding systems, particularly systems 1 and 2
- Proven ability to follow safety procedures and policies.
- Demonstrated good understanding of the products/materials characteristics, packaging requirements and production schedule the plant.
- Demonstrated competency to operate power hand tools, such as sawall, reciprocating saw and drills.
- Must be able to perform a moderate level of specific tasks such as lifting objects, muscular action, body movements, working positions, posture changes, and visual attentiveness in reference to Aliaxis Manual Handling Global Standards. This will include the use of, reciprocating saw and hammer for packaging finished goods.
- Must possess a forklift certificate and be able to operate a forklift within the plant and yard at the Kingman facility. This will include but is not limited to - the movement of crated pipe, wood frames, dumpsters, pallets, bags of regrind, and reject product. (Can be trained)
- Be able to train others in performing tasks as asked by Management.
Working conditions
- Requires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, reaching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting to 50-75 lbs.
- Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required.
