About the Role
The Warehouse Attendant is responsible for unloading and processing all merchandise that is procured by the Purchasing Department and delivered to the Warehouse loading dock.
Position Responsibilities
- All duties are to be performed in accordance with Departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
- Determine, using the inventory/purchasing computer system, if a valid Purchase Order (PO) exists and print a Receiving Worksheet.
- Transfer goods from delivery vehicle to the receiving dock or direct drivers with equipment to staging area.
- Compare PO instructions, specifications, and quantities to the physical product as well as receiving worksheet quantities to vendor invoice quantities.
- Document any discrepancies in quantities, quality, and refusals on the Receiving Worksheet and vendor paperwork.
- Attach vendor invoice to Receiving Worksheet after signing for goods received and submit to inventory control.
- Make Department deliveries or notify pick up contacts in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update Receiving Log Sheets.
- Sweep floors, empty trash and perform other duties directed by Supervisor.
- Assist the Warehouse and Inventory Control Departments with daily inquiries and reconciliations.
Essential Functions
- Physical ability and skill to use normal tools and equipment associated with the trade
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts/hours
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
- Minimum one year receiving/warehouse experience
- Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack and obtain property company sponsored certification
- Required to perform work in varying temperatures to include deep freezers
- Able to work with a wide variety of products without negative allergic consequences
