ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Support the construction team in the planning and design of affordable housing projects
Conduct research on building materials, construction methods, and energy-efficient design practices to support sustainable building practices
Monitor and document construction work in progress
Assist with the preparation of project reports and documentation
Maintain and update Key Performance Indicators for Engineering & Construction
Attend pre-construction meetings and participate in discussions about construction schedules, materials, and project phasing
Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness

Must currently be enrolled in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering degree program
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to and from their work location, between facilities and job sites when necessary
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, Yardi knowledge a plus
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to follow direction and manage specific tasks to completion
Ability to learn and adapt to computer based programs and databases
Eagerness to learn and positive attitude
Knowledge of the construction industry preferred
