Support assigned Manufacturing Engineering activities as directed by the manufacturing engineering Supervisor and designated manufacturing engineers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide support to manufacturing engineering personnel as assigned.
2. Work effectively as a team member to ensure operational metrics are achieved and any remedial action is actively pursued.
3. Maintain current updates on manufacturing engineering related tasks on manufacturing cell log.
4. Design or specify any equipment/tooling/racking required to support manufacturing.
5. Ensure default locators to all parts within assigned manufacturing cells.
6. Update and maintain layouts (plant & cell layouts and inventory, housekeeping, emergency, & security maps etc.)
7. Help update standard work instructions and assist with training as assigned.
8. Help facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, set-up reduction etc.)
9. Participate in continuous improvement and teamwork.
10. Conduct process observations to ensure that assigned time standards are fair and consistent.
11. Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as assigned, to assist with the disposition of non-conforming materials.
Education
· Intern- Engaged in 4- year engineering degree program
