Responsibilities
· Lead and collaborate with a process specialist and a maintenance specialist.
· Enhance production capacity by improving scrap rates, run rates, and machine uptime.
· Independently initiate and complete projects focused on specific lid production lines.
· Justify capital investments based on projected improvements and current burden rates.
· Engage directly with underperforming lines to improve performance.
· Identify and recommend machine upgrades and replacements to enhance production.
· Implement process improvements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and preventive maintenance (PM) to optimize production.
· Drive initiatives for gram weight reduction, material substitution, and sample trials.
· Monitor daily efficiency (EFF) and machine efficiency (MEEF) through active involvement and data analysis.
· Operate machinery and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed.
· Develop jigs, fixtures, and equipment modifications to minimize downtime.
· Analyze production data to identify trends and root causes.
· Evaluate quality data to refine processes.
· Integrate data from quality, production, tribal knowledge, and experiments to produce actionable insights.
· Provide support to other PIT teams as required.
· Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
· Strong analytical skills with experience in production data analysis.
· Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage employees.
· Excellent work and attendance record.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Ability to independently prioritize and manage projects.
· Proven track record of hands-on project management from inception to completion.
· Ability to handle high-pressure situations.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
· Ability to traveled to meet with vendors and review major equipment purchases
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
